michaelg February 10, 2003 February 10, 2003 No idea where you can find those locally. I got mine from US plastics. I probably have an extra one if you want it. I would recommend not getting one with an elbow coming out (or any L-shape config)- as the current one I'm using clogs frequently and I am going to change it out to an all straight configuration when I move the reactor to the new tank. I am also modifying my return line from the circulation pump so it is T-d off to feed the reactor, thus I can eliminate the powerhead in the sump. Michael
dgasmd February 10, 2003 February 10, 2003 Depending on what kind of hosing you are using for your output, you could use a number of things. The hose coming out of my reactor is small enough that I actually put a small airline plastic valve. You know, the little green ones that they sell at petco or just about any place. $2 for like 6 of them and works like a charm. Have not touched it since I put in 7 weeks ago. Alberto

michaelg February 11, 2003 February 11, 2003 Eric that is a great design. Make sure you get the threaded cap sealed well. I need to use silicon- tape just doesn't cut it. I like how the pump is configured sitting on the ground. No issues with supporting it this way, and you made it super easy to remove it. Michael

michaelg February 11, 2003 February 11, 2003 Tape did not work on mine- though it is a different style- not smallish like yours. Give it a try- just have silicon handy if you need it. I ended up siliconing the threads, and around the rim. A bit of a pain, but only need to open it about 3 times a year or so.... Michael
dgasmd February 11, 2003 February 11, 2003 Pez: No, valves don't leak at all. I presume as time goes by and it hardens from the CO2, it will get brittle. Maybe 3 years down the road?? By then, I will ahve the 1000 gal tank with a 6 feet tall dual reactor :D :D :D
