zobey December 18, 2007 December 18, 2007 i have a medium size toadstool that has been doing great for quite some time now. The other day a small frag of an sps (unkown) dropped from above and landed on the toadstool. Since then, the toadstool has developed a brownish-yellow spot increasing in size and its polyps have not really come out much in the last 3 days. The spot is increasing in size a bit and the only thing that i can think of is that the sps stung the leather and injured it. What I want to know is ...... (1) is this the likely culprit (2) should I sit tight with it and watch to see if injury site grows larger? If so should I just frag and remove the damaged spot - it is on the edge and could be cut out pretty easily? I just don't want to lose this coral as it was the first one I put into my tank! Any suggestions?
Grav December 19, 2007 December 19, 2007 I would bet that is the cause. If it keeps getting worse, I would cut off the dammaged part as you suggested.
