'Ric November 24, 2007 November 24, 2007 (edited) A shipment I got today that included an Upside-Down Jellyfish (Cassiopeia xamachana) arrived in two parts: the dome cleanly separated from the tentacle tree. The dome still pulses now and again. Will the dome grow more tentacles before it starves? I'm not sure if I should put it in my tank if it'll just die and pollute it. 'Ric November 25, 2007 Author November 25, 2007 TOO LATE! I got a reply from the vendor: Yes, place the disc part in the aquarium and discard the tentacles. The jellyfish may recover and grow back the tentacles. Sorry for the state of arrival.... It can grow a new set of tentacles. Just give it a chance in your tank and if it doesnt make it let me know and i will refund your money. Thanks RS So, I put it in there and coaxed it in to a nice spot for it. It seems to be doing fine as far as I can tell. But then again, how do you tell if something is doing fine when it normally just lays there anyway? It at least pulses around a little bit. Eric
