OM 4-way making a popping sound

I'm running an OM 4-way on a sequence dart. The 4-way is working but it is making a popping sound (at first I thought it was the wood in my stand settling). Anybody know what this could be?

Never had one; but based on how they work - perhaps you have a piece of your tubing that extends into the moving part in the center, acting like a card in a bicycle spoke? Does the popping have a frequency; or is it totally random?

Mine isn't a thump, it's more of a popping sound.......like wood settling. Paul from OM is supposed to be calling me in a bit so we'll see what he has to say.

I'm guessing he replied at some point to "call me on the toll free" as he did me a couple of times! Nice guy, took time to troubleshoot and for my problem, with one of the pipes on the 8 way snapping off (not sure how schedule 80 snaps off with the pressure of pushing a fitting onto the end) and is now sending me a replacement part instead since it leaks after the fix.

Well, he never called me back. Anyway, I took the 4 way apart and it looks like it's the fittings being screwed in too much. I'm going to re-do those today.
