Anemone

Hi,

My Anemone has turn from white to brown then back to white lately. I have high compact FL, and add the Kent liquid food every week.

WHy it turn brown, and what can I do?

It probably doesn't have enough light? How many watts per gallon? What are your water parameters?

While you are at it, what type of anenome are we talking about here? What is "high compact FL" (PC, T5, VHO, Watts? Kelvin?)? How old are the bulbs? How high from the water? Size of tank? Where is the anemone placed in the tank? Have you tried feeding anything other than the Kent liquid food (which I think is for filter feeders?) If so, what was the response? Is it "sticky"?

 

What else . . . Alk? Temp?

possibly a bleached condy anemone..but not sure why it would turn back to white..

I would look at the lights, water params, and feeding. I have a RBTA and I feed it some lance fish every few days or so. I'm not sure how much food it is actually getting with the liquid diet.
