Angel Fish

Hi,

I currently have 1 Yellow Lemon Peel Angel. I want to buy another Coral Beauty Angel, or Flame Angel. Saltwaterfish.com say that they would fight each other to death. The guy at a LFS said that it will be ok.

Can you guy tell me if they will get along a 55gal tank?

i would say they will fight at least at first but may or may not stop when they get used to one another.

Lots of liverock with planty of places to hide might make competition less fierce but still there is a chance of fights.

Just make sure that the new angel is not smaller than the one in your tank now, also a good amount of live rock.

Like everyone else said, it's hit or miss. I had 4 centryopyge angels in a 125 before and they did just fine together. You never know, each angel has its own personality. They will definitely fight as they have to establish dominance and a pecking order, it's more of a question of when will they stop and if they will stop. I've had lots of success and never had a problem when I've mixed them together, but I've been pretty lucky I guess, as some may kill each other off. I also have always had lots of rock in my systems so that helped as well.

I've seen 2 in a 75g and a 90g. I have 2...well I'm waiting on my other one to come in. I've seen 3 in a 90g. I say give it a shot. They might fight for a couple days. My PBT and Magnificent Foxface fought for the first couple days. They now get along.

I had an elibi and a bi color in a 55 for a time, and they were fine.
