stevil April 16, 2007 Share April 16, 2007 I'd like to get my Aquacontroller Jr. hooked up to my PC (or Mac). Neither computer has a standard DC 9 serial port - USB only. What is everyone using to do this? It looks like I may need to get two cables. The Neptune cable (or equivalent) mini DIN 8 to DC 9 (http://www.neptunesys.com/misc.htm#SERPC) and then a DC 9 to USB (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=123071&CatId=464). Anyone know of a direct Mini din 8 to USB cable?
dandy7200 April 16, 2007 Share April 16, 2007 You can get a serial card for less than $15 if that is an option for you. Thats what I did.
rooroo April 16, 2007 Share April 16, 2007 Can't hook it up to the Mac. Looks like you can go to your local computer store and ask for a minidin 8 connector to USB. Don't know if these exist... otherwise its a minidin 8 to serial.

inedukated April 17, 2007 Share April 17, 2007 I should say Aquanotes isn't available for the mac. Yeah... sucks. Gotta run Virtual PC, or if you have boot-camp on an Intel-mac, you can run that way. I hope someone, someday, ports this app over to OS X, or some other app gets created.
