Guest clownfish4 June 27, 2004 Share June 27, 2004 I have kept mine at 1.023, but was told that that was for fish-only tanks by a guy at reef centeral. He said that I should keep it between 1.025 and 1.026. What do you guys do?
ReefMon June 28, 2004 Share June 28, 2004 NSW (natural sea water) in tropical seas averages at 35 ppt or 1.0255. I keep mine 1.025-1.026 Old style FO's run at 1.021+/-, as lowered salinity is helpful in keeping ich under control. Reef systems need the trace elements and calcium found in NSW salinities.
