ctreptow December 28, 2004 Share December 28, 2004 Just as the title states.. I started putting a filter bag on the end of my drain and wanted to know how to clean it out when it gets dirty. I heard of putting it in the washer but didn't know what to add to it to clean it. Thanks Chris
Guest Sgt Fury December 28, 2004 Share December 28, 2004 Pull them inside-out and toss them in the washer with a scoop or two of Oxy Clean.....Hot/Cold with a double rinse. been doing it for a year with no problems.
Guest AlgaeMaN December 28, 2004 Share December 28, 2004 I use the big filter socks and put them in the washer. I use a little bleach. After they dry I put them in a bucket of ro water with seachem Prime to remove any leftover bleach. Then let dry again.
HowardofNOVA December 28, 2004 Share December 28, 2004 Ah, dang, I only spray them with a hose at the sink/tub. Usually gets them pretty clean and then back on the end of the overflow pipes. If you do them once a week, I don't believe you will need more then that? Howard
