who uses mangroves?

how do you ancor mangroves correctly

 

anybody have any for sale?

i believe you can make a little contraption so that they are not in sand, but can grow and then root in the sand then they can be free standing

I've seen people stick them through styrofoam and float them on top of the water.  Doesn't look that great, but they're usually in the sump.

 

I had two mangroves in a 10g tank stuck all the way in the sand.  Did pretty well.  Only problem I had was that the light was too close to the leaves and some leaves got burned.

 

I got mine long time ago on eBay... 10 for $10!  Might be worth checking out...

I got 3 mangroves i want to sell, they have roots growing, but no leaves.  Ill make it a frag or 4$

Ive seen a modified HOT wisper-like filter to hold the mangroves. actually it was in cowries tank. hi Bob and Tamie
