funnyguy911 February 25, 2007 February 25, 2007 the guy before me was a genius, and took off the splash guard in the nano cube I bought from him. All the bulb clips rusted out. Now I am finding them in the tank, should I replace the sand bed? the mushrooms dont look to happy the turbo snail seems fine and my thug three stripe damsel is also fine. I am now running carbon....
trble81 February 25, 2007 February 25, 2007 I'm defin. not an expert but is there some sort of water conditioner that you can use that will "eliminate" (I think by binding to) trace metals in water...?
Guest beatle February 25, 2007 February 25, 2007 According to Seachem's website, Prime is supposed to "detoxify any heavy metals found in the tap water at typical concentration levels." Whatever that means. I'd still attempt to filter that stuff out, however.
quazi February 25, 2007 February 25, 2007 (edited) One word - or is it two? - Polyfilter (Poly Filter?) It is made for this job. It will very effectively remove copper. It should work for your needs. Signed, Polyfilter guy Edited February 25, 2007 by quazi

Rascal February 26, 2007 February 26, 2007 Wally's, Centerville Aquarium, and Marine Scene all carry it. I don't think superpetz does.
