the guy before me was a genius, and took off the splash guard in the nano cube I bought from him. All the bulb clips rusted out. Now I am finding them in the tank, should I replace the sand bed? the mushrooms dont look to happy the turbo snail seems fine and my thug three stripe damsel is also fine. I am now running carbon....

I'm defin. not an expert but is there some sort of water conditioner that you can use that will "eliminate" (I think by binding to) trace metals in water...?

According to Seachem's website, Prime is supposed to "detoxify any heavy metals found in the tap water at typical concentration levels." Whatever that means. I'd still attempt to filter that stuff out, however.

One word - or is it two? - Polyfilter (Poly Filter?)

 

 

 

It is made for this job. It will very effectively remove copper. It should work for your needs.

darn that snow...I tried to head to brk to see if they have any polyfilter I guess they were closed, the snow don't bother me much. The only other one I can think of right now is superpetz But I guess I can wait.

stop by brk the other day and picked some up poly filter, my mushrooms look much happier now I have to take out the live rock and go fishing for remenants of the bulb clips just to be safe thanks guys.....
