I did a major water change, 15G, the tank is a 55G, It killed my butterfly, chromis and grouper, My yellow tang is acting poorly, My clowns are okay, the rock stinks,my whole house stinks! What can I do, will it stress the fish out more to remove them, any chemicals? Keep doing water changes? Please help.
krish October 23, 2004 Share October 23, 2004 Sorry about your loss. Do you have a grounding probe? That is a mandatory one to have in the system. Probably careful water changes with new water of the same temp/ph/salinity will help. -krish
ReefMon October 23, 2004 Share October 23, 2004 Water changes, lots of carbon and a Poly-Filter Pad. What type of powerhead was it?
flowerseller October 23, 2004 Share October 23, 2004 Did your GFI shut the tank down? Or did you not have one at the time. If not, GET ONE!
quazi October 24, 2004 Share October 24, 2004 Ditto what Glenn said. For alll of you WAMASers out there -if you do not have polyfilters on hand get them now. They are you best line of defense when things go wrong. What kind of powerhead was it, a rio perhaps Same thing happened to me. I was lucky to find it quickly before my tank went belly up.
