Guest bill33 August 10, 2004 August 10, 2004 i had my 2 oceallaris clownfish since the group order from liveaquaria, i got the 2 clownfish and put them in my nano, then the water went green for a few months, its better now, when it cleared up one was much bigger then the other. every time i put my hand in the tank to fix rock work, etc, the male clownfish will not leave the female without swimming by her i tried seeing if they will be apart for a few minutes it was not happining. now for the past few days i noticed the male is away from the female alot, and they are rarly togeather anymore. is it a breeding thing??? thanks Bill

Guest bill33 August 10, 2004 August 10, 2004 :p i hope they are laying eggs cause i did alot of research im pretty sure i can at least save few
AquariaUSA August 12, 2004 August 12, 2004 It will most likely take quite a bit of time to get the eggs, but depending on their size...and feeding you may get lucky enough in no time. Usually the female will open up that can of "whoop a$$" on the male once in a while, and they just can't take the heat, so they travel as far away from her as possible. Some with spouses may have this same issue from time to time, hehe. How much larger is the female vs. the male?
