Guest va_reefman July 24, 2004 July 24, 2004 Tony, I don't remember giving you permission to post link to pics of my tank... :p haha. What an awesome tank and setup. what a life. john
traveller7 July 25, 2004 July 25, 2004 I am suprised he only did 6 lumenarcs? I was a bit surprised by the lighting lay out as well, I would have positioned the 4 over the rock and the 4 over the open area.....2 over the rock would not give me the coverage I would need. Unknown how the skylight may add to the lighting Maybe he wants clams on the sand as well Very nice system though.
AquariaUSA August 6, 2004 August 6, 2004 Great find Tony!!! A tank that is 1700 gallons, a sump that is 700, the first frag tank that is 300 gallons! There is no way this guy has come even close to making him money back from selling frags (after buying all the Schuran, Deltec, and AM products for that tank, much less fish food, salt, and additives!!!) but awesome to have that addiction and still enjoy it That is a system to see when in England (?) Especially the Conspic angel he has in the pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guest tgallo August 6, 2004 August 6, 2004 i agree rich, very nice setup he has, but i dont envy the work involved with month to month cleaning.
AquariaUSA August 6, 2004 August 6, 2004 Yep! Weekly he must spend 5-10 hours, and maintenance per month should be at least 20 hours+ depending on how automated he has the water changes, etc.
GaryL August 6, 2004 August 6, 2004 you sure that isn't one of your accounts Rich? :p i think i would have to pay someone
AquariaUSA August 6, 2004 August 6, 2004 nope, I don't do L-shaped tanks Last one I did was 5-6 years ago, and I hated it! I like large rectangles, bows, cylinders, etc. for they look soooo much better IMO
