dhoch October 21, 2006 Share October 21, 2006 depends on how many independant switches you have... for my tank I have the following: Bank 1: UV Super actinic VHO Geisman ATI actinci plus Bank 2: Geisman Actinic plus Geisman Blue plus (the 10K bulb) x 2 Bank 3: Geisman Blue Plus Geisman Actinic plus GE 6500 K Bank 1 comes on first for ~2 hours Bank 2 comes on 2nd (bank 1 is still on) for ~2.5 hours Bank 3 comes on 3rd for ~2.5 (bank 1and 2 are on) Bank 3 shuts off leaving bank 1 and 2 on for 2.5 hours Bank 2 shuts off leaving bank 1 on for 2 hours ~11.5 hours of light and gives a similar to daylight experience for the corals... flowerseller October 21, 2006 Share October 21, 2006 chip, that's interesting... could you describe a little more the process? they don't all turn on and off all day do they? The 03's come on at 8:30a. The halides start coming on at 11:00a and then every 1/2hr till all three are on at 12:00p Then the halides start going off at 10:00p and every 1/2hr one goes off with the last one going off at 11:00p. The 03's go off at 11:30p. If I get up early and want to, I turn em all on at once. If I stay up later, I turn em back on if I want to. I know we all get caught up this this realist time stuff but, I have my tank and lights because I want to see them when I want to see them. None of them have ever complained either.
