Clown question

Lost a lot of items in my tank as of late…all thanks to a mated pair of pistol shrimp. It’s a long story, but they’re out of the tank now and the tank is slowly settling and getting everyone is trying to get back to normal after the disruption. However, I noticed my male Wyoming white is MIA. That’s odd for him to just not be with his mate? There is no body that I can find and nothing to kill him but he didn’t come out for feeding and that’s not like a clown. I think he might be gone. I’ll give it a few days however. If he is, I will need to get another cause having just one breaks my heart. I was thinking about adding a Maroon and seeing if I could do a Wyoming/Maroon pair. Is that possible? If not suggestions.
