  1. I hear lots of chatter about LED not having the right spectrum to grow corals and subsequent addition of red/violet/yellow/green being added to the traditional blue/white mix. My question is this- Is this desired spectrum supposed to be a closer spectrum to match other bulb spectrums like MH and Fluorescent or is it based on the actual needs of the corals that we are growing in our aquaria. FWIW, I've been using generation 2 Cree emitters on an SPS tank for nearly 3 years and saw amazing growth since switching from MH/T5 combo. It seems to me that this search for the 'perfect spectrum' is just commercialism at its' finest- promote the new mix of colors while downplaying the competitions' standard blue/white mix. thoughts?
