  1. I bought their 24 LED kit a month ago for my 25 gallon and it came with everything. I wouldn't waste the money on dimmable drivers as I run them both at 100% (50/50 white and blue). Also, the included fan is very weak. I ended up using an extra PC case fan I had around. So far everything in the tank loves the extra light.

  8. I just converted from PC to T5 this past weekend and I feel stupid for not doing it earlier. I am amazed at the difference. I am biased since I just went to T5, but the Geismann bulbs are really nice. BRK have pretty good prices for being a LFS.
  9. Has anyone tried firing a 72" VHO bulb with one of these 220 watt ballast's that say that they will not fire a 72"? It makes no sense to me that a ballast that can fire up to 220watts and 8 feet of bulb cannot fire a 160 watt 6 foot bulb. I know that it probably does not work for a 72 becuase of the amount of power needed to fire it upon startup, but I am just curious. http://www.aquacave.com/detail.aspx?ID=85
  10. I was going to give it away, but after I put mine in isolation, it died. Funny thing is that I had to do this with a freshwater fish years ago with the same conclusion. I wonder if our aggressive fish need to pick on other fish to live
  11. It took me about 5 minutes with my hands an a large net (at least 2/3 of the width of your tank). After convincing my domino to one side of the tank, I used the net to block off the other side and I was able to scare it into the net. Then I scooped it out with a plastic cup. My new 125 is pretty light on the rock side right now, so it was not packed with rock. It would have been fun if there were more rock, but I am sure I could have done it. I also made sure that my yellow tang and my scopas tang were in the same blocked off section as the damsel becuase they would block off the rock structure. A fish trap may have been easier, but it kept on nipping on the scopas and sailfin, so the domino had to go.
