where in Bethesda? I work in the iar rights building
I just set up a used tank setup I bought for my office and the overflow piping to the sump is leaking. I was wondering if anyone who understands the plumbing might be willing to stop by sometime and help me figure out what I need to do. I don't think it is complicated, I just don't know plumbing. Thanks much. Dano

Was taking it apart to clean and noticed that the magentic coil was rusted. and the rotor had rust all over it to.I am assuming that is has leaked into the tank.
I have since taken the pump out, however what negative effects of rust will effect the water/ corals/fish

Wondering what is the store policy if you bought a piece of coral and it died do you get your money back?
I would state to the owner that when you brought it in that they were healthy, just like when you purchase from them and bring it home if it dies do you get credit back?
good luck
Shopping for a new store to deal your frags to and with comments like this may not get you much business. Seems kind of demanding. After all, you were wanting "money" from them, you were not giving them money. Also, if you have more frags, take them on a Tuesday, make a deal and see what happens, if they survive, great and you have your credit and you can get something. Or don't take them, leave them in your tank and you have frags in your tank.
If the store has a policy, so be it, all businesses do and if that policy gets in the way of your satisfaction does not mean that store is "bad" for all.
This was your experience and opinion, as this is mine.

Rocko
that is correct, the rbta is not the perculas natural host, but sometimes they do.
time.. nothing will make them go in it. Just wait longer. Sometime they will never host in it.
also I don't think Perc's naturally host in rbta's, i might be wrong.

In need of help, i have a pair of perculas that were once in a heteractus anenome. Unfortunatley the Heteratus bit the dust and i replace it with a Rose. The rose has been in the tank for over 1.5 months (thanks Craig) however the clowns are not hosting it. anything i could do to get them to play in the rose?
any help would be great
thanks

Dan,
there is this black colored cucumber that does really well, i dont know the real name but i have had this one for over 4 years now.
Maybe some other WAMAS members knows the true name
Are there any particular species that anyone recommends or has had success with? (As in doing a good job with sand)
I'm looking to get one soon. I heard tiger tails are hardy, but perhaps a caribbean species would be easier/cheaper to acquire.

No, It is going to be a Mixed Reef. I plan on adding some corals next week from the meeting.

Steve, instead of a razor blade or exacto, use a chisel, that gets them off in whole plus a litte bit of the rock, and then you can give away.
that is what i did with my zoos that got out of control
