Fedex makes you send a trial shipment, if you want their permission to send live fish or corals. I did that, nothing too hard.
Many people just package really well and hope for the best without letting the carrier know.
-
Sure, both are used for qting marine fish, just at different dosage.

I like their frags. They do really well for me. I had issues with the tank, and all rr frags pulled through. I got a few signature pieces during last sale - all alive and well, growing nicely. Never has been dissapointed with non-signature pieces either. I should take a pic of Minions, going on for its' second year in the tank, it is orange, maybe the only orange colored stick I have seen

Thank you, Laura and Dave.
Didn't happen to get a Reef Raft Ultimate Orange Passion.
No, i did not.

Hi Matt,
There are no real updates. Tank is doing well. I got some reefraft frags a month ago, they are coloring up in the frag tank.
Found out today that a.tenella made it to the protected list. Excited to see my colony grow
-
I'm just curious on if anyone has reef raft acros in their tanks right now and how do they look?
I have a few frags. Shipment was delayed, 48 hours in transit. Two frags died the first day and were never replaced by rr. The rest look ok, nothing to write home about. I would take nice LA aquaculture frags any day over this
-
Thank you.
Suharsonoi came as a small colony from LA. It is a slow grower.
Tank gets to 81f in the summer, sometimes it might go to 82, but then the controller shuts halides down.

Blueface was about 4". He nips at new frags, especially deepwater variety, but looses interest in a day or two.
Here is one of the more recent pics

If you measure 800 mg in the mixed water, you need to supplement that water to bring mg up to 1200 before the waterchange.
-
-
You need to add over a kilogram of mg to raise the level to 1200... Use reef calculator to determine correct amount and dosage schedule
-
-
Thank you, John. We will see you there.
-
I like seeing what is going on in the back of the tank...

Stunning tank. How long have you been growing out most of your coral?
Turaki and pink lemonade, for example, were grown to their current sizes from 2" frags in three years
-
Thank you all.
Also, I forgot you were having the phosphate "issues." Did you ever test this out, or get them down to how you would like them?
You mentioned that you noticed a difference in color and growth with the high po4 levels?
I did get them down, would not have it any other way. We added more rock when new sump was installed and continued with gfo.
-
We installed new sump by ArtfullyAcrylic last December. We are vey happy with this sump, tank is doing well

Looks like a. granulosa, ReefRaft Oblivion is similar to Cherry Corals Hellboy, both are really nice corals.

I am leaning toward taking everything apart and starting over….
That's what I would do. Sorry to hear about all the troubles.

Maybe degrading was a wrong word. I just know that copper level will not be stable, and you need to measure the concentration at least daily. Each tank is different, and the levels will fluctuate differently. I also used coppersafe, not cupramine before.
-
The point is that copper degrades pretty fast, hence the directions state to repeat the dosage. You need to figure out how fast it degrades in your tank. You do not want to add more without measuring first. HTH
-
I would measure first and then add 48 more, if needed. Have you acclimated the fish to copper at 1/4 strength first?
-
You repeat the original amount of drops after 48 hours. If you are doing waterchanges, you need to add appropriate amount of drops to replace the amount lost with every waterchange. More importantly you need to measure copper level in the tank with a kit designed for the particular copper med that you are using.
Please Help. Corals Looking Bad.

Looks like alk dipped when you were away. Measure daily and adjust accordingly.
