  4. Hey yall! If you aren’t aware of Christina’s Coral Cabin in Fredericksburg, VA you need to check her out! She has a massive selection of corals and can also get fish/inverts. Her prices can’t be beat in the area! It’s not even close. I’ve outfitted my tank with frags for literally 1/3 or 1/4 of the price of elsewhere. Reminds me of the prices I used to see when I first got into the hobby in 2010. Check out her website or Facebook. She also does free drag Friday the first Friday of every month. I got a beautiful Goni today for free! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Cool I put my name on there. I didn’t know if that list was still active or not. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Does anyone have a PAR meter I can use? I set up a new tank and want to verify my lighting! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Yeah for sure. I’ve had 3 nanos over the past 10 years and they’ve been my most successful tanks. I think I’ve had luck with the AIO tanks. I used to love the Biocube back in the day. Idk why but it’s worked for me and what I know if my thought. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks! I agree! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. So update…had some family situation come up that’s good and requires me to downgrade. I have a nano tank that is a great Lifeguard Aquatics 10g AIO I’m gonna set back up. I’m gonna be breaking down this tank and selling it. It’s a good thing for us but sad for how fun this tank has been. I’ll be keeping the Apex, one XR15, the ATO, and the ATO reservoir to use on the new tank. Everything else will be for sale on here and Facebook marketplace. Hit me up directly if interested! Otherwise see y’all on the nano build! Still super pumped to do that one and it’s gonna be an epic nano! Moderators can take this thread down if need be! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. That’s a good idea thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. It seems to be in the overflow box where the water goes through the bulkhead. I'm gonna exchange the return pump tomorrow when it comes in and then dial it in and see where I'm at. It's almost there I think but it's hard to tell at this point really with how loud the return pump is lol. Good thing we have kids running around the house crazy all the time, so it drowns out the tank lol. It's really only loud once all the kids are asleep.
  12. I decided to stay up all night and rework the plumbing due to your suggestion @WheresTheReef. Sucked to have to redo a ton, but it is always the right answer to do it right. Thanks for the help!! It’s running almost silent almost now. Tuning plumbing can be annoying. I’m probably missing something though! Any thoughts? Need to tune it some more. Not gonna waste too much time yet since my new Sicce SDC 6.0 is coming in this week! I’ll dial it in then. Another shout out to BRS again! Sent them a video of the pump noise after putting in for a refund and they gave me a full refund without having to send it back. They just said to donate it to a LFS or something if I wanted. They are excellent! Also this is here! 😳😳😳 Let’s Go!!!!
  13. Gotcha! I’ll have to give this some thought. Imma get the new pump in and put it in. If it’s working well and quietly and I’m getting good turnover I may leave it be. If not I appreciate this! I’ll just get creative with the plumbing. I could always drill another bulkhead in the sump on the side maybe… I almost did that and last minute decided not to. The high likelihood of me not getting it right the first time is why I made the plumbing and sump easily able to be disassembled, removable, and able to be modified! Thanks! 14. I just decided to return the Sicce Syncra Silent 4.0 and upgrade to the Sicce SDC 6.0 since it is 30% off today on saltwateraquarium.com. I was going to get the 3.0 but after some research it seems that is a great AIO or nano option, but for my sump I’ll need to 6.0 for head pressure and flow. I was having to dial back the Syncra 4.0 so much that for noise reduction and controllability I just wanted to go to the SDC. Price wasn’t all that different in the grand scheme of things. I almost did this from the start and should have. The pump and my Apex will be here next week! Let’s go!!!
  15. Timmy and Jelly Bean are in the tank! Each of our daughters got to name one lol. Put in a large Dr. Tim's and a Bio Spira with them. Did eat tonight, but that is probably because they just went through a lot. Everyone is pumped to get the tank started! Also, prolly will switch to a DC return pump down the road cuz this one is a little loader than we want in the living room. Not bad, but a little more than we want. Anyone have ideas to lessen the noise vibrations of an AC return pump?
