Doors will stay open. They do reduce noise. Still trying to figure out how I can reduce noise even more. I will also have a fan in the closet.

After dragging my feet for about a year I finally got this thing up and running. Took more time than I thought and I still have much to do. I still plan to install and ATO, better Skimmer either a Bubble Magus or Reef Octopus and some lock line return fittings. I built or designed most of this and had some help from WAMAS members like Coral Hind and VTHURD. I can't wait to get this thing stocked. Thinking of buying highend Zoas at first and growing thoose out.

Yeah Facebook took down my last video "music copyright", My new frag tank is up and running. As soon as I move I will dive into a large tank. I just dont want to deal with a large tank set up and then tear down, if I know a move is around the corner.

Check in out. The first 2 clips are people WAMAS has had at meetings. Pretty neat. The first of course the most recent.
-
Hopefully this time it will stay up.

I pulled him off last night. I didn't want to kill the guy. I was actually amazed in how hard to was to remove him. That urchin is like velcro?

I will post agian later. Facebook took it down because I added a music clip and thats a copyright issue.

Just wanted to share. This scarlet hermit crab is stuck on the tuxedo urchins back. Never seen that before. If you had a bad day, it probably wasn't worse than his.

Still got some stuff to clean out, but its getting there. If you cannot view let me know and I will try and post somewhere else.

An ATO for sump water level is key. If you don't get a ATO for a water level sensite Skimmer it could ruin your the pump. That is what happened to my TUNZE Skimmer. Many skimmers don't really highlight that the skimmers water level is critical. Buy an ATO and your problems should go away. I like the AVAST ATO with the Toms Aqualifter.

Thanks I will call them tomorrow.

I have had the same brute water storage container for last 2 years. The seal/bulk head is leaking and I wanted to see if anyone had a solution. Maybe its old? Where can you get new bulkheads locally? I need this fixed ASAP.

Marine Depot says 12-18 months.

Probably. My clowns wouldn't go more than a few inches from the nest. Get a plastic rod to try and get coral to retract so you can see whats going on?

I need to measure my light and I live in Burke (NOVA). Who currently has the PAR meter and when can I get it?

Looks good so far. Like the LPS.

Very neat

Will post pics soon. In process of placing corals from last meeting.

80 degrees is OK shouldn't hurt anything. Get a chiller if you want stable water temp.

It took me almost 3 years to get my tank to this point. Many thanks to WAMAS members. I think it may be overkill at this point, but I can't wait till this stuff grows out. My tank looks amazing. As of now this is my coral stock list in my 29 gallon Biocube.

I just received this nice Chalice at the WAMAS Winter meeting. Does anyone know what type of Chalice this is? I can't find it online anywhere.

Thanks, that puts my mind at ease.

I am in process of finishing my frag tank set up. I am trying to figure out how high I should hang my T5 lights over my frag tank. It is about 40 gallons, (48 long, 16 wide, 7 1/2 tall) and the light fixture has 4 (54 watt) T5's. The light fixture now sits about 2 inches from the top, but it is hard or close to impossible to get you hand in tank so I wanted to raise 5-6 inches. I wondered if this would be a bad thing?
I also was thinking about the lighting mixture? This tank is for mainly SPS and soley to grow corals. Should I use a 50/50 mixture of blue/white or a 25/75 mixture of blue/white. I want to optimize growth and still retain some color.
Any help would be greatly appeciated.
