  1. I think you are right...it would have been fun to build
  2. I want to build a 12 gallon long with these dimensions 36" x 9" x 10". The problem I am running into is that I am having trouble finding 6mm thick glass. The glass shops are pricing me higher than what it would cost to just buy the tank. Anyone know a place where I can pick up some glass at a reasonable price? I have no problem cutting the glass myself.
  3. I have a 3 gallon pico and use Kent's Part A and Part B solution to supplement growth in my corals. When I stopped using Kent's for a couple of months all of my corals lost their color and stopped growing.
  4. I've had my hammer for about a year and it has grown 5 new heads, but they are all very small and grow at an extraordinarly slow rate. My hammer won't grow in anything but a low flow almost like a breeze on the top.
  5. Were you able to solve the problem? I recently traveled to Charlotte for business and set my tank so that it was auto on light and ATO, but somehow my timer got unplug and the tank was without lights for 5 days. Anyways, everything was fine and the tank is the cleanest it has ever looked. Not the best strategy but just thought it was worth a mention.
  6. I just recently got over a very bad case of cyano that killed my green birds nest too. I used Chemiclean's red slime remover and didn't have to cut back on the lights or feeding. I found stirring the sand and using the Chemiclean got rid of all of it. I recommend using the liquid form instead of the powder since it is easier to measure out.
  7. Did you decide on what you were doing? I am looking to build the exact same tank. I am going to drill on both sides, but I am having trouble deciding whether I should use an overflow box or not.
  8. Quantum Reefs in Springfield will do it as well.
