    Good luck with that.........really good luck :blink:

     

    Once you start doing maintenance you WILL eventually bump some of that rock and it may fall over. Especially when you have corals all over them that change the weight load from where it is now.  IMO

     

    Yeah... We talked a bit about that.. AND I cant wait to have corals growing on the rocks.  Im going to roll with the way it is for now. Thanks for the heads up though.  

    Hopefully I stacked it good enough to withstand a bump or two. 

     

    MAN Can this RODI go any slower? Ive already gone through a few cases of beer watching the drip..:)

    UPDATE ----

     

    Here we go!!!!

     

    Hooked up the RODI system today. Thanks Eric for your assistance. Had a tiny air leak that was causing me to think that there wasn't enough pressure from the main. After going over the lines I found the tiny whistle... Pressure shot up to 70.

     

    Put Sand and Rocks in the tank and tightened the pipes..

     

    Cleaned up and now enjoying a cold one at BAR RICHIE :)

     

    Notice the red glow of LEDs around the bottom of the bar..:)

    Update---

     

    Driving up 95 after my wife and I stopped at the show today. Our first reef show and it was a lot of fun. We spent some time with Marco/Rich from ERC.. Great to meet you guys... Can't wait to start working a stocking plan for the tank with you. Rich I will work on some CAPS tickets and let you know soon, the schedule was released this afternoon.

     

    We took a ton of pictures in which I will post as soon as i get the heck out of this car.. Haha... GPS has us getting home at 1:57am..

     

    We also met Bret and wade from tanked..

    All the vendors were friendly and offered great advise...

    Definitely like the nice and clean look. I thought about daisy chaining them together but then I would have the same cables just wrapped up I will mess around with it a bit more down the road. if they had 6 inch cables it would have been cleaner..

    Thanks for the information. I will PM you when I get to the at point. I will order a break out box if the gold didn't come with it. ( probably not ). I still haven't opened the box yet.

    Are Wet/Dry Filters Bad?

    I still have my wet / dry sump in my shed from the early 90s... and i found a brand new pump that i will use for my mixing station.

     

    Wett Dry filters with a protein skimmer and lots of live rock was the original way i was taught.. Good luck! 

    APEX Guru's?

    Just post your questions here.  Many members have apex's and can share our code.  

     

    The first thing I would do is browse the comprehensive manual on their website.

     

    I would certainly do it in stages until you are comfortable with the programming, but it is pretty easy to set it up.

    APEX Guru's?

    Over the next couple of weeks, I am looking to get a crash course on the APEX Gold..

     

    Can anyone out there lend a hand?

    I do have to go out of town next wednesday for a few days.. but when i get back I am looking to fill my tank... 

     

    I was wondering if/when you set up the APEX do you do it in stages? Heaters? Probe's? Pumps?? or do you just jump right in and do everything at once...??

     

    Also saw where it controlled a float in a protein skimmer over flow to shut it off when its full...

     

    I havent cracked the book ( YET ).. Maybe i should start.. Thoughts, Experts, Chime in...
