So far so good, I found a 5.5g and after seeing how Capsfan tank thrived I said "what the H-E-double hockey sticks! ".
I trimmed the acrylic, glued it into two sections, cutva hole for my powerhead and painted the tank
Now I have to search for proper lighting and begin the cycling process

Ok I'll check, I knew how hob's work but seeing tanks without filters and just overflow tanks and powerheads blew my mind lol. I didn't know if guys put bags of carbon in the overflow, thanks a lot for the help I appreciate it

I guess what im asking is would I need a filter or would the powerhead be enough for water movement? Im thinking of having zoas, mushrooms, sexy shrimp, CUC, and a fish or two

Hey gang newbie here trying to learn as much as possible before I get my setup going. I was gonna by a Fluval Spec V and give it a go but a lot of experienced folks told me to go 30g or bigger. So ive put my tv on craigslist hoping to barter.
My goal at first before I knew any better was to jus get the prettiest fish but I'm learning so much about zoas, and corals that I wanna go all in. Well im in D.C. and I hope to network and meet a lot of great folks here
