  1. Lol! Point taken. Yeah, I won't make it a practice to hand feed, I was just curious as to his level of freindlyness. I actually have a Niger trigger that is dog tame as well. Trust me I know how painful a fish bit can be. I have a 9 inch Aussie tusk that got me one time and that really hurt! Ouch! Once he's in the display he will "hunting" for it like the rest of them.

  2. Thanks LCDRDATA, no Androcles, lol, that would have been a lot of "thorns" to pull! Yeah, I'm glad he made it. I had a vlamingi tang who was friendly like this. It must be his size and self confidence. He's a great fish! Pulled from the brink as he was in real bad shape.

  3. After saving my Goldenback trigger from a nasty battle with ich, he's in my 72 gallon QT with a small female crosshatch that I saved as well, I can't believe how calm and friendly this fish is. He likes to be touched when I do tank maintenance and he eats jumbo shrimp from my hand. To my surprise, he's very gentle as if he's making sure not to bite me. I can't wait to put him in my main display late January.

  4. Yeah bro. I'm all over it. I did the research and based on my experience, I knew it was the dreaded marine ich. Like you said, you have to stay on top of the specific gravity as well as the ph. No ATO on my QT, But I check the salinity with my digital refractometer twice a day. I always have make up water at the ready. Like you said, you have to make sure the specific gravity stays below 10. If it doesn't, the ich will regain a foot hold. I cannot express how important that is when doing this treatment. Diligence is importance. I swear by it now and will always use this method. I watched that Goldenback come back from a near death experience. It was scary to say the least. I would have lost 2 very expensive triggers at the same time....

  5. Yeah I just used Rid ich which worked very good for me in the past, for some reason it just didn't work at all. Could be the size of my QT which is 72 gallons. All I know is that by the time I decided to go the hypo route, The female crosshatch was heavily infested and the golden back was down in the tank breathing extremely heavily and near deaths door. Made a tremendous turn around after 4 days in a hypo environment. I will always go the route from here on out. I dodged a bullet......eating again and doing well.

  6. My QT tank had a real bad bout of ich. I nearly lost my golden back trigger from it. Nothing was working and when I was about to give up and he was near death(I was previously treating with Kordin Rid Ich). I went the Hyposalinity route. Took the tank down to a sp of 0.9 and after 3 days of watching this fish suffer he's finally eating again and acting normal. Hypo is the way to go imo. I'm totally sold and won't try anything else. Dodged a 2k bullet. I had both the Goldenback and a female crosshatch trigger in there. I feel good today

  7. One of the best vendors ever. Communication, packaging, and all four corals were outstanding. Will post pics soon.

  8. Your right, I paid $99 bucks for mine. The tech support was awesome. Its definitely not plug and play as the instructions would suggest. It took me about a hour and a tech support phone call but once I got it connected it has been smooth sailing. Anyway, I added a marine beta and three cardinal fish today and I will add some more next weekend. Doing it gradually. Corals in a month or two.
