I don't know about reef feeding as I never ever feed my corals. I do have lots of fish though!
My guess is that the hair algae is out competing your corals. Possibly the cause for hair algae was the result of the accident. Once hair algae are gone, your corals should improve.

Leather normally closed /shrink and shred once awhile. From the photo, IMO, looks like it's starving. The hair algae might be absorbing nutrient from your tank. I'd remove those hair algae manually along with frequent water change also rub off some of the brown stuff on its foot.

Sorry to hear about the fish. Glad everything else is doing well.
Thanks Eric

Wow 6 months passed just like that since last update.
The good: sixline paired up and mated since introduced.
The bad: the female 6line disappeared a month or 2 ago along with the orchid dottyback. Also, blonde Naso tang died for no apparent reasons!
It’s quite strange as I recalled the disappearance of the bullet clownfish and few other smaller fish a while back.
The only logical reason I can come up with is that there must be some kind predator(s) lurking in the rocks! Given it has been close to 10 years since I set up my tank. Whatever in the rocks must grown into a killer.Anyway, here is the video of my tanks that I recently got around and cleaned up!

Heavy duty liquid nail also harden when dried. Less messy than concrete.
come to think of it, they might also sell concrete in a tube.

I owned both and a few other (magnavor, algae free, mag float extra large). They all good for cleaning your glass, but IMO no mag cleaner can take care of the stubborn coralline algae.
Manual scrapper is the only tool that works for me.
The only way the mag cleaner might be usefully is that you clean your glass DAILY!
Oh! forget the Tunze magnet care. it's awkward and small handle that give you finger cramp after using it.

Nice! Looks pretty leveled.
The tank itself probably not that heavy, it's us old guys that are weak!
I recalled that we put my 220 glass tank up on the 40" height stand with just myself and Cliff Pucktable 9 years ago. I wouldn't dare to try even 1/2 of that weight now.

Welcome back stranger! I can spare a rock or two from my sump.

Finally, got my 6 line wrasses. Hopefully, they will paired up into mated pair. Missed their mating ritual

First coral in the tank! Guess it's not going to be nems and LPS only.
My favorite birdsnest: ponape. I've always thought this one with it's pointy tips and right angle branches looks like more like an alien organism than most corals.
Thanks, @flooddc
It’s one of my favorite bn as well. It sure looks different when it was in my tank.

Frag tank looking great!

lol
I used 2 wrenches (180 degrees) for better leverage. You can use a pvc pipe and slide into the wrench handle to assist with loosing the canister.
Personally IMO, the metal wrench is nice but could damage the canister.
RO canisters should be hand tight and if needed a slight nudge with the wrench.

Yesterday marked the 8th anniversary of this build . WOW time fly!!!
Coincidently, for some reason I decided to clean the tank last evening. WEIRD!!
the longnose butterfly has been growing quite a bit and now eating everything.

Welcome. Love your Euphyllia collections!

Finally got around and scraped coralline algae off the front of the tanks and water change.
Everything seem to do well except the frogspawn/octospawn and rasta zoas. I am pretty sure the filefish has something to do with those. Here are video of the 2 tanks:

My 11+ year old sixline wrasse has something on its mouth for the past year or so. I think he got bucked teeth. Still eating well.
i went into ky YouTube and dig out my very first post of the reef tank. Can’t believe it coming up it its 10 years. Some of the fish and corals are still in my current tank.
the 6 line passed last week. It was pretty healthy and active. I guessed it died of old age. it's around 12 years old.
Guessed it's time to look into getting two and pair them up. Missed seeing mating dance

Congratulations Lynn on your new endeavor.

LOL! I guessed the little guy don't want to be sold to a new home after all. He somehow escaped from the cage which are wrapped around using 1/4" mesh netting. Seem to be doing just fine and accepted by the other clownfish pair.
-
Has a minor change with the tank’s residency. The female bullet holes clownfish disappeared a few days after spawned. The male continues to guard over the eggs until the very end. I think the female probably got killed defending her eggs.
Yesterday I introduced the B&W female with the remain bullet holes and less than 24 hrs they bonded nicely.

WOW! that's so cool.

Have you seen the longnose butterfly picking at your corals? I have a copper banded butterfly and would love to include a longnose as well….
Darren
I haven't yet witness it picking on corals. However, I'd noticed that some of my euphyllia are not happy. It's possible that the longnose nipping on it or could be something else idk .
On the plus side, it's my new favorite fish and also the majanos has been greatly reduced since adding the longnose. It's much better than before as the filefish was not able get to them in the tight crevices.
Leather problems
in General Discussion
You can just cut off the bottom flesh on the coral. Use a toothpick and skewer thru the bottom end of coral. Then rubber band the toothpick to a piece of rubble. It will attach itself to the rubble after a few weeks.
