  1. Thanks guys! I have the tank running and hoping for the left corals to survive. when i see pictures of my tank before the move I want to cry. when I have my tank stablished again I would gladly accept the frag offers. I will post a picture of my tank later this week.

    Thanks again,

    Sidney

  2. Again, sorry. Having water on hand is really important. In a pinch, you can use tap water and a dechlorinator to condition the water. It's not the best situation, but it'll work.

So were the corals essentially "in transit" for 3 days? How were they kept during that time?

I had two little tanks and a tub that I borrow from a member...

  3. I run out of time doing things on my own. My wife helped me out as much as she could but we could not move the tank on our own so the next day I got some guys that were sitting by 7 eleven and they helped me out move the tank to the new place. then I did not have enough water made to start filling the tank up. I was running up and down for 3 days and hopefully tonight I will finish putting the corals and fish back to the tank. I have tons of corals bleach out and very slimy and right now I am just praying for the best. I will keep you guys posted.

BTW thanks christine for calling today to check on me. I really appreciate it.

  4. I just moved from Manassas to Bristow. I had three friends that were supposed to help me with my tank but took off for the Holiday weekend in the last minute. My wife and I tried to carry the tank tonight but we could not. I have left on my old house the tank and stand sitting on my kitchen empty everything else is on my new house. Is there a good soul here that is willing to help me with that tomorrow morning? I know this is a short notice but I need to be done tomorrow. Please send me a message or call me tomorrow 703 869-2579 if  you can help I would really appreciate it. I have a minivan and I think I can fit everything inside.

    Thanks in advance,

    Sidney

  5. I think 90 gl is a big tank But i don't know.... How about if I put new sand and save some of the old one to get started. I will be moving in the area no more and 30 min away and my plan for now is:

At the new location have at least 100 gallons of ready salt water.

use few hospital tanks that I have to store fish and corals. i am also grabbing a free tank from a wamas member I believe is a 55 gal so I have some room to storage all corals. get those tanks running and move things little by little. My only concern is light . 1 have one only so I guess I have to move all the corals at the same day ..... My mind is going crazy ... My wife on the other hand wants to sell everything... NOOOO...

Then move the 90 gallon and get started when parameters are good move stuff in...

But thanks for all the advice and please keep posting..

    thanks

  6. Thanks for all the advice ! So I should buy new sand and pre-cycle?  Its a 90 gallon tank filled with corals... I will post a pict soon. As far as fish goes I got 2 large tangs, pair of clowns, 1 melanarius wrasse, 1 royal gramma, (6 total) two inverts. I guess about 130 lbs of live rock lots of corals incrusted, etc.. I don't think I will have enough time to cycle the tank.
