I painted mine purple with a can of Krylon. It blended well with the coraline and now I can't tell it's been painted.

I would stick with the Phoenix 14k DEs. They are reasonably priced and have great color. I use them over my 240 reef and love them. Try adding some variety to your T5 bulbs. Try a couple fiji purple bulbs along with some ATI pure actinic bulbs. reefgeek.com is a great company to work with in ordering replacement bulbs.

I have a 240g peninsula that is 6 months old. Had smaller tanks for a few years and started this tank when we moved. Looking forward to meeting some of you at meetings and events. I have the TLF kalc reactor and I love how easy it is to use. I'm using the mag recipe you mentioned (about 10 parts mag flake to 1 part epsom salt) to maintain mag on the cheap, and I dose 2 part when the kalc reactor is not enough. This is for a 340g system. Cheap and easy. The reactor was 40 bucks. Kalc from BRS is cheap and the DIY mag recipe is $20 for 55lbs and should last a loooong time.
