Okay, so I am fairly new to this. First salt tank for me. It has been cultured properly for a year prior to adding fish and coral. About two weeks ago we bought a frogs spawn coral that seemed very content in it's location and with Ph levels, etc. Was actually looking very healthy, except that we noticed a mouth type growth on one of the colonies? where it seemed that it had holed up in and was actually sort of coming out (best described as someone licking their lips almost). Could not see it fully, other than the frogs spawn would retract when this happened. So we had also noticed an apstasia earlier, and had used Joe's Juice to get rid of it, so we thought, then this thing comes along, so my husband, who is totally into the salt tank as well, gave it some Joes Juice assuming (we know better to assume) that this was an apastasia. Now we have seemed to have killed off our poor coral and we really want to avoid doing this again. I though maybe, if I had been able to find a diagram of the inner workings of the tube, that these may feed into the creature in the hole...Can anyone tell me what may have just occured. Appreciate any advice and assistance.
Thanks ~ wicked
