  1. I'm probably in as well. Just let me know who we are using and I'll let you know what I need. Just setting up my 120 reef and need to add a number of new critters.
  2. Thanks for all the advice so far. I am looking for live rock with abundant biodiversity. Since I am just starting a new reef, I have my own supply of base rock that I have carried around for years. I need to seed the system with high quality live rock and once the cycle is complete, I'll start hitting everyone up for frags! ps- I'm in the silver spring Maryland area.
  3. Any good suggestions on a great place to purchase live rock? I'm looking at Bali Alor or similar and leaning toward aquacon. thanks for any advice.
  4. From the recent topics, It seems as if this is the time to discuss LED systems. I just moved to the area and in the process of setting up my 120 gal reef (4'x2'x2'). I have a Dutch Aquarium Systems custom tank and want to ditch the VHOs for LED. A local retailer turned me on to a WAMAS member who builds LED systems (see thread below). http://www.reefaddic...build?#comments It is a well written article and I plan on buying a custom system from him but want your feedback and recommendation for the system and mounting. It needs to remain about a foot from the water surface (no high mounting) since the hood of the tank is fixed. Why not ask the local experts and get to know a few members while at it? I definitely will go LED and need the capability to maintain SPS for eventual fragging. I'm a big believer in home-grown sharing. Thanks for any advice you can offer.
  5. A great resource for information is www.kenrockwell.com He discusses techniques, camera/lens reviews, etc and is not paid by any of the manufacturers. He also has a great section on how to buy used equipment and the very best of the cheap lenses.
  6. I'm interested in this protein skimmer. Please send me a pic at reefmaster5@gmail.com Thanks David
