  1. Never knew about that other tab. Thanks
  2. Pristine Aquariums also (Alexandria, VA)
  3. On the main forum page, can we increase the amount of new topics that show in the bar on the right? Or is there a way to keep the 5 topics, but add a link below to view older ones? Some days they change over pretty fast. Thanks! Jeff
  4. I use rods and cyclopeez for direct and indirect feeding. For the indirect, I place a small frozen piece on the intake of my koralia. The suction holds it there and then shoots it out all broken up across the tank. I also use mysis and live brine shrimp. For my clam, I sometimes turn a cup upside down over the clam and then fill it with phytoplantkon (is this OK?). -Jeff
  5. How do I post the pictures within the text of the post vs an attachment?
  6. Best friends
  7. How do you post a picture in your text versus as an attachment. Thanks
  8. Great collection! Still have the chalice pack for sale?
  9. No ATO or chiller. It's a small 29G biocube. I'll post a pic soon. Some corals are getting worse and some are getting better. Time to fix it up and start with new small frags again. Anyone have suggestions for an online monitoring system for the tank? Thanks
  10. Thank you everyone for your suggestions and sympathies. Already set up a petsitter for the holidays. The pics attached were before and after pics. All the coral in the after pics are only getting worse and losing more tissue. This sucks, but is also a fun challenge to nurse everything back to greatness.
  11. 5 day vacation...no problem I thought. Tank was cleaned the day I left, topped-off, auto-feeder, etc. The apartment thermostat was set high so the a/c wouldn't kick on while I was gone. Well, the building switched the heat on during those 5 days. I returned to a sauna! The tank water was so low it didn't even make it into the overflow. So, an 84 degree tank mixed with no flow other than a koralia = heartbreak, death and algae. Before and after pics attached. Lost livestock: CB Bengai Cardnial, coral banded shrimp, skunk cleaner shrimp, snails, crabs. CORAL: 4" chalice, favia, 1 head frogspawn, small toadstool mushroom, 1 SPS, green star polyps, feather dusters (alive but wilted), red and skittles acans (recessed but hopefully will grow back), pulsing xenias (probably grow back well), bleached green monitpora, few zoas, shriveled ricordea. Sorry the pics are so big, couldn't compress them! -Jeff
  12. So I ended buying the 35mm f3.5. The pics are looking good (not great), so I have some questions. I am turing off all powerheads and moving the subject to the front of the tank. Is there a good way to add lighting? How about a tripod since some of the images are blurry when enlarged. How do you guys take your macro shots? I'll post some pics soon. Thanks! Jeff
  13. I just got an Olympus E-450 DSLR and I'm looking to purchase a macro lens. I am a beginner and I'm looking to take basic good macro shots of my corals. What size is a safe bet? Not sure between 35mm, 60 and 100mm (and not sure difference). Going to the store tomorrow to learn more, but any thoughts would be helpful. Jeff
  14. That does sound delicious! But that would be a pricey meal.
  15. Great question, I guess i need to find out. Also, today is the first day the new lights are running and I seem to have a large amount of micro-bubbles building up (never had before). Whats going on?
