A few weeks ago we put a yellow watchman goby and tiger pistol shrimp in our 75-gal. tank. They settled right down beneath a rock and everyone seemed happy. Then, a few days ago, we noticed our engineer goby was more animated, moving lots of sand around the shrimp/watchman cave. Now, the pistol has moved (not sure where yet) and our watchman stays near the top of the tank, mostly looking upward waiting for word from the pistol.
What, if anything should I make from the engineer's behavior--would the engineer evict them? Does a tiger pistol shrimp move often, getting separated from it's watchman?
Also, an emerald crab was munching around the pistol/watchman cave. Is there anything to worry about when those paths cross in the tank?
