Just to tag along...I've also been looking for a "cheap" alternative to buying argonite/oolite/etc at LFS for $1 per pound. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything around Andrews AFB that isn't silica based. As for dry rock...Bulk Reef Supply (my personal choice) runs out of stock fairly fast but you can also try www.marcorocks.com. They seem to have good products at decent prices. Hello all. I joined WAMAS about a month ago and have been trying to drink in the massive amount of info you guys have on this site. What did people do before the internet? lol I know that when it comes to skimmers I could ask 100 different people what brand/type/etc they think is best and I will most likely get 100 different answers
