    Those of you that have not been able to make it to MrCoral's new retail store are missing out. It was my first time meeting Sonny...nice guy.... down to earth & runs a honest business. Alot of amazing pieces and deals will be coming out of his place.

     

    I was the first person there this morning and true to his word. He let me pick the first coral after purchasing over $100. Great piece. So far everything I purchased is acclimated and doing well.

    Columbia Pike runs through Annandale and Alexandria mostly. Then turns into Duke St close to I-395.

     

    I can't for the life of me think of where Petland is in that area. I know Wally's and Super Pets are in that area. The closest Petland that I know of is in Fairfax off Main St.

    Flowerseller - I would like to go on the trip as well. So is it confirmed Sunday 18th at 12:30? Can Saturday could be an optional day also?

     

    Is the store open now? If so, does anyone have the address?

     

    Its a shame about all bad experiences. I was considering purchasing some stuff from MrCorals. There are so many online stores to choose from. Pulling my hair out trying to figure out which to use.

    Thank you all for the kind replies. I would love to see all the tanks / systems I can so I can create my own schedule / techniques of stuff that needs to be done. This site has been a wealth of knowledge and help.

    Sorry to say all I'll be bringing with me is $ and alot of thank you's. Hopefully the next meeting I will be able to contribute to the trading. My apologies but I just got into the hobby.

     

    Its cute and all but the " daddy the rocks dont look as cool as the fishy store's tank" from my 6 & 7 year old boys gets me down sometimes. They are ruthless lol :blush:

    Hello all,

     

    I'm just getting into the hobby and would like to learn more about it in everyway possible. So... if anyone needs help with anything (moving tanks, upgrading, set ups, special projects) related to the hobby, please dont hesitate to send me a message. I'd be happy to help/learn.

    Hello all,

     

    I thought I would add the (not so) Local Fish Store I found having the best selection of corals, fish and inverts so far in my quest to fill my new 75 gallon reef tank. He had to have at least... oh I would say 400 corals to choice from last time I was there. Joe at Fish World in Richmond has an amazing selection of pretty much anything you need for saltwater tanks. He gives personal one on one attention to people needing help. Here's a little story about what he did for me. Short version: he stayed till 4:30 am to finish setting up my fish tank. Then drove 1 hour 45 minutes home. Amazing... if you ask me.

     

    I didnt see his store on here so I thought I would mention it. Its worth checking out.

     

    Going to check the 1,200 (yes, thats a comma) gallon saltwater tank is worth the drive alone...

    Hello fellow reefers,

     

    I just recently set up a 75 gallon saltwater reef tank. I wanted to say hello to everyone. I am looking forward to making new friends & frag partners in the hobby.
