Here are some pics. Sorry, I haven't yet figured out how to get the camera to focus well through the glass. Its the yellow/ brown / gold stuff you see starting to show up. It appears much more vivid when I look at the tank. Again, the shrooms and fish etc seem very happy, but I want to make sure I don't have a big problem developing. Thanks

  2. I just came home this evening and noticed that a number of places in my tank have a decidedly yellow or gold tinge to them. I used different food last night (seafood based). Maybe that has something to do with it? All my mushrooms, polyps and dusters look like they grew an inch last night because of the feeding. Amazing results there after just one feeding, but I'd like to figure out what this stuff is. I did a search and came up with mustard algae in pools, but I didn't see anything in this color for aquariums. Any ideas? Thanks!

  3. Yep, mix 20:1 and is the best and cheapest cleaner you will find for calcium deposits. Add acid to water, never the other way. Guess what? It's reef safe as well, so no worries there, so if you ever need to lower your ph in a hurry...... One more thing, it won't damage rubber gaskets or o-rings on pumps, silicone joints etc. like vinegar will.

 You're completely sure?! It won't leech into the plastic or anything? If it is safe, that would be great, but my mom killed about a hundred day old chickens a few years back because she washed plastic water cans with diluted bleach. Different product and application, but the logic is there.

  4. Hi all! I just got two gold striped maroon clowns yesterday (mail order) and the company sent me some large ones instead of juvies. I'm going to be getting the juvies later, but I need to figure out what to do with the larger ones. They were fine together in the bag and later in the bucket while they were acclimating, but as soon as they were in the tank they decided to kill each other. I figured they might be alright since they were behaving all that time, but no such luck. Anyway. I've got them separate now and I'm going to be getting two small ones in the near future (these are 3- 3.5in already) and I was wondering what everyones experience with pairing them was. I've heard mixed stories. I would LIKE to put one small one with each of these and see if I can get them to pair. Anyone had any luck with this? If not I'll have to prob get rid of the large ones and just try pairing the juvies.

    Feedback appreciated!
