the front of my 180 gal acrylic has very small scuffs all over due to over zealous urchins.

has anyone used Novus 1 and 2 to restore ? is there any method to buff out the front pane with the water still in it ? i know wishful thinking .

thanks

Actually you can use very fine sand paper....

THere is a kit you can buy at some of the stores, but when you get it, it's just a variety of sand papers and a cloth inside a carying kit (I know I bought one)... basically use coarser sand paper for the bigger scuffs using smaller and smaller till you get down to very fine... I can get grades for you when I get home.

So you're saying you can do this underwater? I'd be interested in seeing the results.

After some buffering see the downward scratch for reference... hard to tell in this pic but the acrylic is a little cloudy:

awesome !

takes elbow grease ! start with 600 to 1500 to 6000 grit wet/dry sandpapper and you are there.

be careful but it works .. i think the everclear magnet solution will make it a tad easier than having to strap on a mask !
