gsedlack June 21, 2006 Share June 21, 2006 I have a 125 (6 ft) tank with a Yellow Tang and 12 other fish. The others are all about 2 inches now and just about full grown. I want to add one more fish that will grow to 5+ inches. I have the tank filled with arounf 175 lbs of rock and I have some corals as well. I am thinking that a Kole Tang would be ideal since it is a different body tupe and color than the Yellow tang. Will this association work? Is there a better choice that is reef-safe? TIA for help! dzekunoi June 21, 2006 Share June 21, 2006 Tomini tang. Tomini has the same body shape as Kole but flame-orange fins.

stank June 21, 2006 Share June 21, 2006 Generally a Kole tang should work, theres always a chance it wont. I think Koles are great fish and are among the hardest workers. You can also try one of the following instead of the Kole, -Chevron, Tomini, Striatus which are all hard workers as well and in the bristletoothe family. I love my Kole tang. Guest austinsdad June 22, 2006 Share June 22, 2006 Only thing I'd be concerned about is aggression from the yellow to a newcomer. Some can be nasty. May have to remove the yellow, re-arrange some rocks, and add'm both together.
