engine3b October 2, 2015 Share October 2, 2015 I have a 90 gallon with left center off set overflow. I have 2 rw8s middle of tank pointed at each other rock work is about an inch or 2 off back wall. Just far enough a way the flipper fits behind. I have a T return one to the left and one right of overflow. Just curious if anyone has ideas for best flow placement of returns and power heads. And what modes to run them in. Thanks. Tried to attach a picture but apparently any photo on phone is to big.
matt October 2, 2015 Share October 2, 2015 Curious how much flow you've obsreved...any movement on your sandbed? I have 90 that I need to get fish in, but we had a baby and that takes priority. I have a two outlet T return from a eheim compact 3000 (think that's the #). I also have a single WP40. Each of the ways I've played with the WP40 placement I end up with sand blown out one side of the tank and piled to the other side. I hear the RWs have wider flow, so maybe I'll try one. engine3b October 2, 2015 Author Share October 2, 2015 I had sone sand blowing when I first set it up. However now it's very minimal and would prolly be nonexistent except the diamond goby moves the sand bed all the time and the maroons clowns flick some up once in a while. s2nhle October 5, 2015 Share October 5, 2015 I used to have the diamond goby before. It throw sands all overplace and on my corals that was placed on the sand. I had to blow the sand off my corals everyday.
