fishgate July 9, 2015 July 9, 2015 You shouldn't do any water changes while your tank is cycling. Stop doing them until you have 0 ammonia and 0 nitrites. I'd go ahead and get a reactor and some GFO now. Using tap water you are going ot have a LOT of phosphates in your tank. It will take a long time removing it once you go to RO/DI. Great start!

VKernus July 29, 2015 July 29, 2015 Mine likes to rearrange the snails and hermits. Picks them up and carries them to the back corner of the tank.
mnadeau July 29, 2015 Author July 29, 2015 Lol! That's awesome! Him and my cleaner met last night for the late night feed and said hi then went separate ways again he's only been there since Sunday and shrimp since saturday. So we will see how social they will be. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
VKernus July 29, 2015 July 29, 2015 He recently paired with my pistol shrimp. After two months of ignoring one another, they now live in the same burrow. I just wish they would get happy with the home and stop their constant redecorating
mnadeau July 29, 2015 Author July 29, 2015 Lol that's awesome I wanted a pistol shrimp to pair with mine but didn't know if he would eat my hermits and snails Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
VKernus July 29, 2015 July 29, 2015 My pistol shrimp basicallyhangs out under a large rock in the front of my tank. He spends his night's digging and part of his days too. Now and then he will venture out but never very far. Never had a problem between the pistol and crabs/snails.
mnadeau July 29, 2015 Author July 29, 2015 Now how does the pistol dig his tunnels or better question is what kind of substrate do you have? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
