Guest The_Haunter March 28, 2004 March 28, 2004 I heard that you can grow your green star polyps on the live sand, to kinda create the look of grass. Im interested in doing this and I would like to know the best way to go about it.
Guest Andrew March 28, 2004 March 28, 2004 Just place a rock with GSP on it on the sand, isolate it from other rocks by making sure it is surrounded by nothing but sand. Eventually the mat will grow off of the rock and onto the sand. They will close up as soon as a hermit or snail touches them. I had a rock that the mat grew off of and onto the sand. It extended about 4" across the sand. Made it real easy to frag and glue to the wall of the tank. On a side note, I wish I would have never added GSP to my tank. Here is a 6 month before and after pic of some GSP that is on my back wall. In the fist pic th GSP is about the size of dime.
