Mlig9l9 June 9, 2014 Share June 9, 2014 So after a massive dose of flatworm exit I have rid my tank of worms. Even with carbon and huge water changes it wasn't enough to save my sps, most lps and a few fish. My levels really never got to a crazy high level but I think the stress was just too much for everything to handle. I think I'm at the point of rebuilding because what did live seems to be coming back. It's been about 2 months since the dose and I'm wondering if anyone else has had an experience like this and how long they waited to rebuild or when they knew it was time? Coral Hind June 9, 2014 Share June 9, 2014 There were probably high levels of toxin released from the flatowrms that you couldn't measure which killed the corals. Using large amounts of fresh carbon can also cause the pH to rise quickly depending on tank size and amount used and that can stress corals out. After a couple really large 50% plus water changes it whould be fine to start the rebuild. I say go for it.
