JR-Tanked150 May 22, 2014 May 22, 2014 Found this in our QT today and very curious to find out what it is. Seems to be the only one in there but we're still currently looking.
JR-Tanked150 May 22, 2014 Author May 22, 2014 Here is another picture before we took it out off the tank.
JR-Tanked150 May 22, 2014 Author May 22, 2014 We are hoping it is a good critter and not a bad one. All of our corals are dipped before we put them in QT for several weeks.
Squishie89 May 22, 2014 May 22, 2014 I have some red sea slugs very similar shape to yours. I have no idea how they got in or what they do or eat, but so far I have not seen them causing any problems.
kkozak81 May 22, 2014 May 22, 2014 I don't know too much about them but the pic you posted looks more like one that just eat algae. But again I don't know much about them so take it with a grain of salt.
JR-Tanked150 May 23, 2014 Author May 23, 2014 Well I decided to put him back in the tank and will be watching closely to everything. Hopefully he is an algae eater.
wade May 23, 2014 May 23, 2014 (edited) Looks like it might be a stomatella (with big eye stalks), hard to tell. Does it look or feel like it has a shell inside? Edited May 23, 2014 by wade
JR-Tanked150 May 23, 2014 Author May 23, 2014 No, shell that I can tell. It is red and has 2 antennas.
