Custom Glass Sumps

I use standard aquariums and install custom glass baffles to create ideally designed glass sumps that fit your needs perfectly. I use smoked glass so that the light from the refugium doesn't cause algae growth in other section of the sump. I also include a custom sized glass top to cut down on evaporation, noise, salt creep, and to keep equipment from falling in to the sump. My design allows you to have enough space for your skimmer, return pump, etc. without unnecessarily taking too much space away from the refugium.

 

One of the best things about my design is the unique eggcrate/plastic mesh wall that keeps macroalgae and fish out of the pump section.

 

Pricing:

I can get a brand new tank for you or turn a new or used tank you have into a sump. My pricing is the same as you would find in a retail store. Labor varies from $60-140 depending on the size of the sump and how complicated the design is. There is a $20 supplies fee to cover silicone, eggcrate, needlepoint canvas mesh, etc. I charge what the glass shop charges me for the glass which is usually $40-80 depending on the number of pieces and their sizes. Once I have the tank and a deposit there is usually a one week turn around.
