IO Salt at aquarium center

I had a salt water tank 2 years ago and just started to build another. While making a trip up to aquarium center I noticed the 200g IO buckets were only $31. How long have they been this cheap? I remember when they were close to $60.

 

If any of you nothern VA reefers decide to head up there pick me up a bucket!

I just called and its their normal price. Apparently Instant Ocean changed their bucket design and decreased the capacity to a 160g bucket, though the design is supposedly more convenient for reefers. That is priced at $32. Aquarium center also stocks IO 200g boxes which are $32 as well.

Not that any of you care but I ordered a 200g box of IO from aquarium center for 41 shipped to my door. Ordered on tues, arrived on wednesday.

 

This is just for those of you lazy Northern VA reefers who dont want to make a 1 hr drive for some cheap salt.

I just purchased some Marinemix 150gal box for $28 at Roozens. You can get the bucket size for around $38 tax incl.

Did they tell you how to switch over to the marine mix? Just a little at a time.

I started switching about 3 months ago now I am up to 10% changes with no problems. My inverts seem to be doing well

If you have to switch over soooo slowly, not to crash the tank with this stuff. What happens when you bring home a new coral. Do you have to acclimate... for like a month?
