My system came with the cable pictured below, it appears to be the same cable the comes with the DA ATO kit. Can I just buy 2 float switches from the hardware store and splice them onto each end of the cable? I can make my own brackets, will this system be any less reliable than the store bought kit? kriv4o February 23, 2013 Share February 23, 2013 You will have to cut the pictured cable in two which will allow you to add 2 float switches. That's what I plan on doing anyway. Just using one switch and a timer so my ATO runs a predetermined amount of time to prevent putting too much water in, if the float gets stuck. Should be OK on the NanoCube I am about to set up.
