ridetheducati February 11, 2013 Share February 11, 2013 Note: When using gram negative meds such as Erythromycin, the biological system will be subdued as well. Be prepared to react if ammonia begins to rise.

ridetheducati February 11, 2013 Share February 11, 2013 It will be done in a quarantine tank. But I will take note, Thanks. It is especially important for a QT because QTs typically do not have enough bacteria to support the process.
SaltLife February 12, 2013 Author Share February 12, 2013 Well you bring a good point. I bought both remedies for the fish it was between E.M. Erythromycin & Melafix. I'm deciding to go with Melafix for now. It said to treat the first 7 days then do a 25% water change. It has me a little worried because of the thought of what you said the ammonia going up. Should i do water changes between doses?
