Grouting advice

Here are a few little tidbits about grouting that I wish I would have known today:

1. Once you determine the sqare footage of the area to grout and how much grout you need, double it. When grouting a mosaic, triple it!!!

2. Do not let the grout dry when you're running to lowes to get two new bags of grout, it make it really hard to get off of the tile.

3. When you reach the age of 45, you cannot grout as quickly as you could when you were 25.

And the one pleasant part of it all:

***Scotch tastes REALLY good after 4 hours of grouting.

I could have give you a couple tips if I'd known. 1. Put vegetable oil on the tile before you start, the excess grout comes off the tile easier. 2. Always talk a young 'un into doing all that knee work. It's too hard on us old guys. At least you saved some decent money doing it yourself.
