matt bills September 11, 2012 Share September 11, 2012 I am going to remove anomone from a rock it is attached to. How do I remove it with out damaging the anomone. Can I use my bare hands to remove the foot?
smallreef September 11, 2012 Share September 11, 2012 Not a good idea unless hes not planted firmly...best option if you can take the rock out of the tank is to spray the foot with cold water or told an ice to it (more like rub the ice all arround the foot) and see if it dislodges to get away...other than that if in the tank a turkey baster spraying water at the foot...and then again, none of these may work, lol
Kevin Garrison September 11, 2012 Share September 11, 2012 Another possible method if the rock is not "large" is to hold it upside down and tap the rock with a hammer, sometimes this will make the anemone let go because it doesn't like the vibration of the hammering.
